Power users: Claude to Trello
Want your own Claude (or any AI agent) to drop finished briefs straight into your board? Two steps.
1. Get your Trello keys (2 min)
Click New → create a Power-Up (any name, leave the iframe URL blank).
Open it → API Key tab → copy your API Key.
On the same page, click the “Token” link → set an expiration (30 days is plenty) → Allow → copy your Token.
Keep these private: the token gives access to your whole Trello account, not just this board. Revoke it anytime from the same page, and revoke it immediately if you ever share a chat transcript.
2. Paste this into Claude
Fill in your key, token and board name, then paste the whole thing into Claude Code (or your agent):
SETUP PROMPT — PASTE INTO CLAUDE
You can post design requests to my Yumi Trello board using the Trello API. My Trello API key: [paste key] My Trello token: [paste token] My board is named: Yumi — [my name] Setup: use the Trello API to find my board and my “Backlog” list. When I ask you to send a request: 1. Read Yumi’s documentation first (format, real examples, rules): https://yumidesign.co/os 2. Show me the brief and wait for my OK. 3. Then post it as a new card in my Backlog list. Keep my key and token private.
That’s it. Now just say “send this to my board” and Claude writes the brief and files it for you.
